The Seventy-Sixers resigned Andre Iguodala today to a six-year $80 million deal. I don’t know if this Sixers team will really be able to compete at the very top of the Eastern Conference, but after signing Elton Brand, they just had to bring AI 2.0 back.
Still though, I don’t know how good they really are, even with Iguodala. Yeah, they pushed the Pistons in the first round of the playoffs last year and now add Brand. But does Brand make the Sixers any better against the elite teams? Maybe against Cleveland, but not really against Boston and maybe not even against Detroit. I see the Sixers sliding in the middle of the pack with Toronto and Washington.
