Interesting Opening Set of Premier League Games

Arsenal 1 – West Brom 0
Everton 2 – Blackburn 3
Middlesbrough 2 – Tottenham 1
West Ham 2 – Wigan 1
Bolton 3 – Stoke City 1
Hull City 2 – Fulham 1

Pretty sorry start for Spurs as their only goal was an own goal by David Wheater of Boro. Wheater scored for his own team and Mido added an 86th minute goal for the deciding advantage.

Blackburn scored on an extra time header by Andre Ooijer off a free kick rebound to push Rovers past Everton at Goodison Park. Blackburn played well but probably only deserved the single point a draw would’ve given.

West Ham’s Dean Ashton scored twice in the first ten minutes against Wigan, giving the Hammers a nice early start.

Bolton scored three first half goals and only allowed a 90th minute score by Stoke City in a blowout at the Reebok.

Hull City pulls the upset over Fulham after Fulham had led 1-0 after only eight minutes. Caleb Folan’s late goal gave an early victory.
