Hull City Earn Famous Victory v. Arsenal

hullIn their first season in the Premiership, Hull City have achieved one of the most difficult tasks in English football, a victory at the Emirates Stadium in London. With Geovanni and Daniel Cousin scoring within four minutes in the 62nd and 66th minutes, after an own-goal gave Arsenal a 1-0 lead, Hull were able to survive a furious final twenty minutes. William Gallas saw his wicked header ricochet from the crossbar, Robin Van Persie’s screaming shot from twenty-five yards sailed just over and Kolo Toure bonked a point-black opening left of goal, all within the final five minutes before full-time.

The victory sends Hull City into the top eight of the Premier League table and keeps Arsenal from keeping pace with Chelsea and Liverpool.
