Premiership Predictions – Week 28

epl

The Premiership returns mid-week with everyone’s final positions starting to come into focus. The most important match of the week is Aston Villa @ Man City. Villa need three points to have a shot at reaching the Champions League level of qualification but City are a very strong club at Eastlands. Adding the fact that Villa just choked against Stoke on Saturday at Villa Park, this match will either be a strong rebound or a death knell for Villa’s chances.

Otherwise, those who have the most to gain include the winner of the Wigan @ West Ham match and Bolton Wanderers, who can make serious inroads into the top ten if they can defeat feisty Stoke City. Below are my thoughts. We also welcome the return of the great Philip Oliver who, despite having witnessed Man United’s penalty victory over Tottenham in the Carling Cup final at Wembley yesterday, was kind enough to send along his thoughts for comparion.
